EPISODE SUMMARY: In this episode of NOGGINS & NEURONS: Brain Injury Recovery Simplified, Deb talks with D’Youville University students, Giovanni Feliciano and Fatima Ijaz about preventing secondary stroke. People who have a stroke are at increased risk of having another stroke. In this conversation we:

- Highlight the increased risk faced by individuals who have already experienced a stroke
- Discover the effects of antiplatelet therapies for stroke prevention
- Address clot formation and subsequent strokes
- Learn about the importance of client follow-through and monitoring in long-term prevention
